Combining models

I've got a few meshes I'd like to combine into one game object and optimize the polys, but when I click Optimization > Combine > Advanced > Selection (Combine Materials), instead of getting an atlas save window, my model disappears. Any thoughts on how to fix that?

In Z-brush, I always work with mirrored object, and it does apply the other side's change in real-time. Is there anything like that?

If not, I hope there is mesh combine function at least

Yes, you can find it under the gamedraw menu->Optimization-> combine

Existing two meshes into one mesh?

I've tried combined mesh but it seems batching works only in case of optimization.

If I want to keep modify meshes, it does't support. - As I mentioned, it crashes unity.

I want my mirrored meshes in same object.

So that i can make only one side shape and duplicate it.


Any solution??

I can't zoom in to edit my model.

When I zoom in the model starts to disappear, so I can't edit my model close-up. It's hard to explain, here is a picture.Image 26

Does not have a list of frames for different animations. I can't really find an idle-animation, am I missing it?


Also the link to youtube does not work. 


Also, check out the scene included. The lights are off, there's a box that maybe should be under the zombie but isn't.

How to uninstall GameDraw to do a fresh install?

Hi,
I'm running into some serious lag problems because of GameDraw on my Mac (both Unity Pro and GameDraw are the latest versions).
After about 30-45min work, the entire computer freezes for about 30s. There are no other programs running, clean reboot, etc. Running a Unity project without the MXD Bundle - GameDraw installed does not show this problem.
So I figured I uninstall the entire Bundle and reinstall it. But...
I've deleted the files from my project, but I still see the GameDraw menu. Am I missing something that needs to be deleted for a full uninstall of GameDraw?

By the way, I love GameDraw even with the current bugs!

Thanks for your nice words and really sorry for the late reply! we will have a new version soon, it took some extra time but for sure will be worth it :D

You should be fine removing the folders of GameDraw under:
plugins/Editor 
Plugins/GameDraw

Unity hangs as soon as the GameDraw panel is opened

I just installed the GameDraw free plugin on my installation of Unity 3.5.7 and if I create any primitive and open the GameDraw panel in the scene view my unity application completely freezes, causing me to have to end the process in order to get it back.


After re-opening unity, the freeze will happen consistently when I open the gamedraw panel in the scene view.

Make sure to close any of the following windows when working with GameDraw:

1- Lightmapping

2- Occlusion culling

3- Navigation


Any of these three windows will block GameDraw, plus if you have any other plugin that you think is conflicting with GameDraw then please let us know so we can help out :)


Edit : We will try to have some sort of automated notification system to warn you about such possibility!

I love the program and I love your commitment. there is very few in the asset store that could come close to your commitment. I was wondering, would it be possible to put the real time video's on youtube. the sped up time lapse are too fast and I can't get much from them(although I have seen them all). I have learned a lot, but I know I could get more, if the videos were slowed down, and maybe a little explanation of why certain things are being done. especially with the UV stuff. Just a thought. I was planning on doing some tuts on game draw as well, but I want to make sure I'm doing everthing right. The UV's though are kind of confusing.

Hi there. Just tried out the free tool and I must say that I am impressed. I am looking for at tool making it possible to create underground dungeons, caverns and sewer systems. Is it possible with gamedraw to creat caves with any kind of speed and get a natural look on the rough stonewalls without having to micromanage every vertice to get a bent here, a stalagmite there..


No worries. I will buy this superasset just for the sake of being able to invert my meshes to create inroors areas on the fly.

Talking about caves :D an upcoming update will introduce voxel sculpting which means more ability to create smoother shapes in a very fast way! we are very excited about it and hopefully we can release it soon.

Yes there is a plan for improvements.

 however you can use Unity's built-in snapping by holding down Control Key while moving, rotating or scaling, the snapping settings can be customized from Edit->Snap Settings
